 Description: GrinnellShare is Grinnell College’s new intranet built using SharePoint 2013. This 2-hour workshop is a hands-on introduction to GrinnellShare. In part 1, you will learn about the many features of GrinnellShare such as libraries, lists, announcements, calendars, discussion boards, and more. You will also learn how to create and modify views to better work with and organize documents and data.

This workshop is open to anyone and is a prerequisite to Intro to GrinnellShare, part 2. Both part 1 and part 2 of Intro to GrinnellShare must be taken before taking Managing GrinnellShare Sites.

 Description: This 2-hour workshop is a hands-on introduction to managing documents within GrinnellShare. We will cover the fundamentals of storing and editing different kinds of documents, uploading files, working with metadata, versions, and how to collaborate with team members.

This workshop is open to anyone who has already completed Intro to GrinnellShare part 1. Completion of Intro to GrinnellShare part 1 and part 2 are required before taking Managing GrinnellShare Sites.

 Description: In this hands-on workshop, site owners will learn how to create document libraries and lists within Grinnellshare team sites. Participants will learn how to add metadata and columns to libraries and list to more easily sort, filter and view items. Participants will also learn how to create content types and add relevant columns to the content type.

In this workshop you will learn how your manual office procedures might be converted into automated custom workflows using Microsoft SharePoint. You will create a simple workflow using SharePoint Designer to send email notifications.

This workshop is open to Site Owners who have attended Managing Sites sessions.
